If I was to say this image is blue I would be lying because it’s not. It’s a shade of red. If God says it’s blue, it then becomes blue because it is impossible for God to lie. Hebrews 6:18.
Genesis 1:3 And God said, “Let there be light,” and there was light. He spoke and the darkness was then light.
If He speaks a promise over your life it is there, it is the truth, and no negative person, no demon, no devil, can change it.
Have a good day!
I sat in a high school gym tonight in Small Town USA, watching 29 seniors on the verge of everything. As I sat there, I wondered; do they have any idea of what has just happened to them? They think “I’m free!” but tomorrow they will wake to a world of being an adult.
No it doesn’t happen overnight. No one expects them to move out and start a family tomorrow but gradually responsibilities will consume their motives and just like that, the child is gone.
It is so tragic that we all wish those days away. The years of carefree, unfettered, genuine abandonment and indulgence gone…right before your very eyes like the confetti shot into the air and falling onto the floor under their feet.
The Valedictorian stated the world was their oyster. Assuming that they will be the grain of sand that is transformed into the pearl let us not forget the way it is formed. The oyster forms layers and layers of nacre (mother of pearl) until the grain of sand has been transformed into a pearl.
Thats what life does to us. The experiences we have add layers and layers to us until we are transformed into, optimally, a better form of ourselves.
That group of 18 yr old kids will grow into young men and women, mothers, fathers; their chosen paths will form them into someone slightly or totally different and the outcome, good or bad. Well, it’s a coin toss. It could be great. I choose to believe that for them all but unfortunately it isn’t always the way it is.
I hope they understand how important their decisions are from here on out; how each choice leads to a different path down a winding road called life. I hope they make each one of them count and live each day to the fullest.
We only have one life and if I could only say one thing to each of them it would be slow down. Make your choices slowly, deliberately, and thoughtfully.
And now go. Go and make interesting mistakes. Make amazing mistakes. Make glorious and fantastic mistakes. Break the rules, and leave your mark in such a way that the world benefits from your existence but in that process, be you…unapologetically.
“I might be the only person who sees how amazing you are. How every single thought that you have…how you say what you think, and how you almost always mean something that’s all about being straight and good. I think most people miss that about you. And I watch them wondering how they can watch you bring their food, and clear their table and never get that they just met the most amazing woman alive…and the fact that I get it, makes me feel good about me.”
I choose to speak blessings on my children always.
For them I pour out of my heart, words that bless and will follow them when I cannot. A blessing that will crown their heads from their Father in heaven, who will never forsake them or speak curses on them; the father they deserve. He hears me cry out for their sake:
For my babies,
You are beautiful, not only on the outside, but mostly on the inside. The Lord blesses and keeps you, the Lord makes his face shine upon you and is gracious to you, the Lord turns His face toward you and gives you peace. You are strong, kind, a young lady and gentlemen with integrity, honest, you are a giver, not a taker, and so wise beyond your years! You are strong and courageous. You have no fear for the Lord is with you wherever you go. People know and love you because you are always available to speak words of encouragement to others, you build others up rather than tear them down. God’s favor is all over you as a shield. He covers you with His feathers. You are the head and not the tail, above only and never beneath, blessed in the city and in the country, long life you will have, you are a victor and never the victim, you are a lender and never a borrower. God has a plan for your life, good and not evil, with an expected end. You have so much more life to live and a life more abundantly coming. You belong to Jesus because I taught you the right way (Proberbs 22:6) and you were chosen, predestined, hand-picked by the Almighty for a greater purpose. (Ephesians1:11)
I am thankful for the opportunity to be your momma!
Thank you for the sunshine you bring into my life.
Yo bad mamma jamma
When the sun slowly chases the moon from the sky
And touches your face as you open your eyes
What are you thinking? Do you like what you see?
Is it all that you dreamed of or do you wish it was me?
I know that you did what you thought you should do
It was safe and secure so completely thought through
But you sacrificed passion and abandoned your dreams
Baby, was it all worth it or do you wish it was me?
Does each kiss seem closer to the first or the last?
Is the fire still ragin’ or has it burned down to ash?
Do the memories haunt you? Do they beg and they plead?
Are you satisfied baby or do you wish it was me?
Is the life that you’ve chosen free from regret?
Or is what might have been just too hard to forget?
Has the glitter all faded? Do you get what you need?
Are you satisfied baby or do you wish it was me?
