Jesus never asked you to sit on His throne. Did He?

First of all let me prelude this blog with the fact that I AM a Christian. I do judge because it is human nature to do that. But my judgement is more like why would you wear your pajamas to Walmart? Aaaaand I do think all Child Molesters should be publicly beaten and then castrated without anaesthetic. But I would not, could not deny them forgiveness.

Now with that being said it’s really sad to me that some Christians feel a sense of entitlement to judge. Yes we have our bible we know what it says. But before we start beating ppl over the head with it maybe, just maybe, we should return to the gospel and read a little about the adulterous woman how the crowd was standing there with stones ready to hurl them at her and then consider for a moment what Jesus said and did. He knew he was about to sacrifice his life for that woman, for all of us because of sins such that required a gruesome death as ransom and he wouldve been the only one who was justified in stoning her yet…he loved her. He pardoned her. It is because of who Jesus was, that we all are able to receive eternal life. We are not entitled because of his sacrifice to then become Pharisees. We will only win them over by loving them and being the hands, feet, and heart of Jesus. So many times i hear Christians bashing homosexuals and adulterers. They both, along with various other sins of the flesh fall under the heading of sexual immorality. Is sexual immorality wrong? I Corinthians 6:9-10 read it for yourself and while you have your bible out head on over to Rev. 21:8. Have you lied today? Ever done illegal drugs? Gossiped? Taken the Lord’s name in vain? Put money before God? Put anything before God? Cheat on your spouse? Did you look at that woman/man lustfully? You may as well have cheated. Watched filthy movies that cause you to become one with the world? ie Magic Mike, Have you read 50 shades of grey? Et al Are you watching or looking at porn when no one else is around? We are all guilty of sinning. We are wretched, poor, pitiful without Jesus but with Him we are his righteousness. You may think your sins are secret, but God knows…so just remember you will be judged in the way that you judge others. Matt 7:2

I ask that God guard all our hearts and that we wake up and return to Christ’s teachings of love and forgiveness so that hearts are able to be touched and that we never let the devil have a foothold on our souls.

I will leave you with one last thought.

John 13:34-35

“A new command I give you: Love one another. As I have loved you, so you must love one another.” ;

James 4:12

“There is only one Lawgiver and Judge, the one who is able to save and destroy. But you–who are you to judge your neighbor?”

My sins nailed God, in the flesh, to the cross the same as yours. I am no better and no worse. Without God’s mercy and grace we would all be doomed to hell. I am pardoned only because of the sacrifice of God’s only son who I have accepted in baptism.

Psalm 16:8-11 “I keep my eyes always on the LORD. With him at my right hand, I will not be shaken.”

Philippians 3:20 “But our citizenship is in heaven. And we eagerly await a Savior from there, the Lord Jesus Christ”

ie: Christians are to keep their eyes on Jesus! So that their faith is not shaken. **This world is not our home.**
